Élan Martin-Prashad, Co-President

Élan is a Cinema & Media Studies major, minoring in Consumer Psychology and Creative Writing. Originally from Montréal, Canada, she has always been interested in character-driven stories that stay with audiences long after the credits finish rolling. Élan is excited to build community by connecting UME members with opportunities to shape important industry dialogue. Some of her favourite films include Whiplash, Dunkirk and Dune. Outside of UME, Élan enjoys drumming in the Penn Jazz Ensembles and helping to run events at the Kelly Writers House as a media coordinator. When she’s not learning new jazz grooves, listening to movie soundtracks, or writing her novel, she can be found making short films, working out, and enjoying time with family and friends.
